Engineering History
Founded in 1982, Elboxrf has a history of electronic engineering and product development. Its earlier work included electronic instruments, communication devices and radio-frequency systems.
Since 2003, Elboxrf has specialized in the design and manufacture of microstrip antennas. Today, its antenna designs cover frequencies from 750 MHz to the Ku-band and are developed using advanced 2.5D and 3D electromagnetic simulation software.
Elbox began its operations with electronic engineering and the development of electronic devices.
Projects included the Microbox signal generator and SECAM/PAL video-coding equipment. These projects involved electronic circuit design and signal processing.
Elbox developed an ultrasonic sensor for residential security systems, including the design of its housing.
Elbox began delivering radio-frequency products and engineering design services.
Projects included pagers and programmable voice scramblers for radiotelephones. The work involved electronic circuit design, microcontrollers and communication-related signal processing.
Under a contract with the Department of Telecommunications at AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków, Elboxrf developed and manufactured an active RFID tracking system operating in the 433 MHz ISM band. The system was tested under real underground conditions at the experimental Barbara mine in MikoĊów.
Elboxrf developed its business around the design and manufacture of microstrip antennas. The archived website documents antenna designs for several frequency bands, including 800 MHz, 1.9 GHz, 2.4 GHz, 3.5 GHz, 4.4 GHz and 5 GHz.
The archived 2008 website documents a product range covering 868 MHz, 2.4 GHz, 3.5 GHz and 5 GHz, including directional panel antennas and sector antennas.
The archived 2010 website documents dual-polarized MIMO antennas, panel and sector antenna families, and designs emphasizing low sidelobe levels and polarization performance.
Elboxrf focuses on the design and manufacture of microstrip antennas operating from 750 MHz to the Ku-band.
Electromagnetic simulation in 2.5D and 3D environments is an integral part of the antenna design process. The company combines specialized antenna engineering with manufacturing, serving applications that require carefully designed radiation characteristics.
